Now, let's delve into two (2) practical examples of how you can now explore your consciousness after awakening. Do this at night before bed or when you have a few hours to spare in the comfort of your own room of home.

In this instalment, I will cover Mediation and Mindfulness and entering into Lucid dreaming and what you can expect from it. I will also share meditation techniques to help you explore your consciousness.

Through Lucid Dreaming, EXPANDING your subconsciousness mind, will be in Part 3. You don't want to miss out on that one!

Lets get right into it, below are two examples that should empower you to navigate the vast realms of inner discovery and personal transformation, all while keeping a cosmic grin on your face. So, fasten your seatbelt (metaphysical, of course) and get ready to soar through the cosmic landscape of expanded awareness.

1. Meditation and Mindfulness

Meditation is a powerful tool for exploring and strengthening your awakened consciousness. It allows you to calm the chatter of the mind, cultivate inner stillness, and tap into the depths of your being. Not to mention the opportunity to tap into your imagination and explore realms and beings you never knew existed. By practicing meditation, you develop the ability to observe your thoughts, emotions, and sensations without judgment, enhancing your self-awareness and expanding your consciousness and growing your being.

Below are two ways to practice meditation and to start exploring to vast depths of your mind and being. If you have another method for us, please… do leave a comment below.

Mindful Breathing Meditation:

Begin by finding a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths. Full breaths. Fill your lungs through your mouth and breath out slowly through your nose.

As you return to normal breathing, shift your focus (consciousness 😉) to the gentle rise and fall of your abdomen and/or chest or even the coolness of the air entering your nostrils. Allow your attention to rest on your breath, gently bringing it back whenever the mind wanders. Remember those monkeys we spoke about? In Part 1 we covered how to practice taming them.

Notice the subtle nuances of each inhale and exhale, fully immersing yourself in the present moment. Let go of any expectations or judgments and simply be with your breath, connecting to the present and cultivating a deep sense of mindfulness.

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing one's attention and awareness to the present moment, without judgment or attachment. It involves consciously observing and accepting one's thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment.

This practice alone (especially in times of stress and anxiety) should bring calmness to your spirit, and help you make sense of the important decisions in your life and bring peace.

And for the gentler souls and beings out there, try this one…

Loving-Kindness Meditation:

Sit comfortably and bring to mind someone you care about deeply, whether it's a loved one, a friend, or even a pet.

Begin by silently repeating phrases such as, "May you be happy, may you be healthy, may you live with ease, may you be loved, may you be well, I’m grateful for you."

Direct these well-wishes towards the person in your mind, truly feeling the warmth and compassion in your heart. Then, gradually extend the loving-kindness to yourself, and eventually to all beings, radiating love and goodwill to the entire universe. Now spend a few minutes embracing the emotion it brings like the joy of sending positive intentions and nurturing a sense of interconnectedness with all of existence.

Remember, meditation is a practice, and it's perfectly okay to have moments of light-heartedness and laughter along the way. So, as you embark on your meditative adventures, embrace the unexpected, cherish the humorous interludes, and continue to explore the boundless realms of your awakened consciousness with a smile on your face.

EXPLORING THE POWER WITHIN

Now that we have covered meditation and how we are able to use it to calm us and to enter a meditative realm of awareness, we can now dive deeper in ways to explore your consciousness and also prepare you for our Lucid Dreaming part. Let’s start exploring the power within you.

Practice and engage in Body Scan Meditation, where you systematically bring your attention (consciousness 😉) to each part of your body, observing physical sensations and releasing tension. This practice helps you develop a profound connection between the mind and the body, allowing for deeper introspection and insight.

Body scan meditation is a powerful technique that involves directing your attention to different areas of your body, starting from the top of your head and moving down to your toes or vice versa. As you focus on each body part, you bring a gentle awareness to the physical sensations present in that area. The goal is not to change or manipulate the sensations but to simply observe them with an open and non-judgmental attitude.

Begin by finding a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, and close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths to ground yourself in the present moment, remember, nice deep breaths then coming back to normal breathing. Now start by directing your attention to the top of your head, noticing any sensations such as tingling, warmth, or pressure. Allow your awareness to gradually scan down through each part of your body, from the scalp, forehead, eyes, and jaw, all the way down to the neck, shoulders, arms, chest, abdomen, pelvis, legs, and feet.

Additionally, body scan meditation provides an opportunity to cultivate self-compassion and acceptance. As you explore different sensations, you may encounter areas of discomfort or pain. Rather than resisting or trying to push away these experiences, approach them with a gentle curiosity and an attitude of kindness. Treat your body with love and respect, acknowledging that it is a vessel of wisdom, a source of valuable information and a vessel for personal transformation.
